1. Acceptance of Terms

By using VaultSecures, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

2. Service Description

VaultSecures provides encrypted cloud backup for photos and videos. Files are encrypted on your device before upload. We cannot access your encrypted content.

3. Account Responsibility

• You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials
• Your password is used to derive your encryption key — if you forget it, we cannot recover your files
• You must be at least 13 years old to use this service

4. Subscription Plans

• Free tier includes limited storage and features
• Paid plans are billed monthly or yearly through Stripe
• You can upgrade, downgrade, or cancel at any time
• Downgrades take effect at the end of the current billing period
• No refunds for partial billing periods

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the service for illegal purposes
• Upload malware or harmful content
• Attempt to circumvent storage limits or security measures
• Share your account with others
• Reverse engineer the application

6. Data and Encryption

• Your files are encrypted with AES-256-GCM before leaving your device
• We use zero-knowledge encryption — we cannot decrypt your files
• If you lose your password, your encrypted files cannot be recovered
• You are responsible for maintaining backups of your encryption password

7. Service Availability

We strive for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. We are not liable for data loss resulting from service outages, though your data remains encrypted and stored during outages.

8. Termination

• You can delete your account at any time through the app
• We may terminate accounts that violate these terms
• Upon termination, your data will be archived and eventually deleted

9. Limitation of Liability

VaultSecures is provided "as is". We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for the service in the last 12 months.

10. Changes

We may update these terms. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance.
